This Foundation, The Cephas Yoder Foundation, is designed for one purpose: To help the new ex Amish kids that leave so they can afford to go to high school and get an education. Although many are perfectly fine in construction for the rest of their lives, there are those that leave, have big dreams, and are fully capable of achieving them, but are hindered by lack of financial support.
My goal is to raise enough money to be able to help this last group of kids so they can at least have the opportunity to go on and do bigger things. This is what Cephas wanted to do. To pursue his dreams and achieve huge goals. This is exactly what Cephas Yoder would have wanted. A better life and greater opportunities for the ones coming after him.
I do wish Cephas was still here, so he could help the rest of us rejoice in this foundation!
At this time the foundation isn’t complete, and I can’t encourage anyone to donate, because I am not set up just yet to print and mail receipts back to you. However, I can’t stop anyone who has a heart to donate anyway. I will keep track of any and all incoming mail, and once the foundation is complete, I will send receipts. Until then, I can’t legally spend the money being donated. I do have a fund set up, into which I will deposit the money, but it will sit there for a short time until this is complete.
I will keep everyone informed as to how things are going, and to what causes the money is going. It is my intention to build a separate website to this cause, and have a blog on it so you can read all about it. However, time restraints are keeping me from having it all done by now.
